Description
Karst Circle is intended to provide a rich foundation for socio-ecological education as well as a calm, contemplative respite for facility staff and visitors. The piece features karst limestone the artist salvaged from the site during clearing operations in preparation for construction of the building. W. Gary Smith created a 30-foot diameter circle of boulders placed side-by-side on edge, located within the storm water detention area adjacent to the facility’s parking lot. The detention area...
