Description
Columbia University president Seth Low funded the construction of this McKim, Mead & White building out of his own pocket as a memorial for his father Abiel Abbot Low. Like a number of other McKim, Mead & White buildings on the campus, it is neo-classical in style. Students congregate on the building's steps around the statue of Alma Mater by Daniel Chester French.
