Description
"Gateway" is part of a series entitled "Sagg Portal" by artist Hans Van De Bovenkamp. The inspiration comes from the French word menhir, meaning standing stone. Van De Bovenkamp said that "these portals are to leave a mark by balancing shapes and stacks of metal relative to the landscape and environment." One of the portals, "Gateway" is located in the Myriad Botanical Garden in Oklahoma City. His vision for the piece was to be a connection between the architecture and the nature in downtown. It...
