Description
The Second Street Bridge was designed by Jean M. Muller and was completed in 1999. The bridge is fully suspended from red center-locking quadripod pylons and two radiating rows of 40 cable stays. Crossing the White River into downtown Columbus, the bridge offers an entry vista by framing both the historic Bartholomew County Courthouse tower and the bell tower of Eliel Saarinen’s First Christian Church.
