The shape of these sculptures is inspired by vapor cones, clouds that form around an object as it approaches supersonic speed. In Shock Egg, the cloud, made of stainless steel rod, turns in on itself, becoming pixelated and narrowing into a small oculus. The cone, suspended in the center, pushes through the surface of the cloud, stretching its leading edge.
