A recently installed public art commission, this bronze sculpture is permanently installed in Kiener Plaza - a newly renovated park located in downtown St. Louis, MO. It is a gift from NAACP, St. Louis to the City of St. Louis.

The bronze newspaper she's holding is based on the front page of the St. Louis American, published on December 29, 1955, after a federal court upheld the case she won a year earlier. The headline reads: Circuit Court Declares Segregation of Public Housing Illegal. Both...
