New York: The Future of Cities

For four centuries, New York City has reinvented itself in the face of crisis, conflict, and extraordinary change, in many ways representing the story of modern urban America. In this special advance screening of highlights from New York: The Future of Cities—acclaimed filmmaker Ric Burns’ new two-part PBS documentary—explore the city’s evolution from the aftermath of September 11 through the COVID-19 pandemic, waves of immigration, and the growing challenges of climate change and inequality.
