Description
Apropos for a train station, this sculpture represents the shifting and importance of time. Lin, however, wanted viewers to think less about hands on a clock, and more about the mathematical and scientific aspects of time. She designed a circular transparent disk that is back-lit by a light; a solid disk travels behind it leaving an eclipse when midnight strikes. Only a penumbra of light is seen then. This is a MTA Arts for Transit piece.
