Description
Commissioned to commemorate the rebirth of Atlanta from the ashes and destruction of the Civil War to become one of the world's most important cities in honor of the 100th anniversary of Rich's Department Store. It depicts a woman being lifted out of the flames by a phoenix. Originally located on a viaduct in front of the store, it was refurbished and relocated to Woodruff Park for the Olympics.
