Peter Coombe has practiced architecture for more than two decades both in offices and on job-sites. Before forming Sage and Coombe Architects, he work with Richard Meier & Partners in New York and on-site in Europe. Peter was part of a winning competition team that designed and built the San Jose Veterans Memorial. More recently he led Sage and Coombe’s entry for the Czech National Library competition in which the firm was chosen as one of eight finalists from a field of 300 international entries. He has taught at Parsons School of Design and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. As the design lead at Sage and Coombe, he maintains his role in each project from the first design sketches to the project occupancy, working closely to develop, clarify and adjust the design to its successful completion.
