Alice Kimm is an architect and co-founder of John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects (JFAK). She was born in Chicago, spent her high school years in Seoul, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
Kimm has served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and on the Advisory Boards of the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urbanism and Woodbury University’s School of Architecture. She was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) in 2010. She has also been involved in academia, working as an Associate/Adjunct Professor in Practice of Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC) and as Chair of Undergraduate Architecture at USC.
