Ambrish Arora is one of the Founding Principals of Studio Lotus. From large master plans to the smallest of interior details, the work of this globally acclaimed practice is rooted in the principles of Conscious Design—an approach that celebrates innovation through local resources, cultural influences, an inclusive process, and keen attention to detail. Some of their most significant projects include the hotel RAAS Jodhpur, Baradari at City Palace Jaipur, Krushi Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, retail stores for Royal Enfield, the new Max House office building in New Delhi, and Cafe Lota in Delhi’s National Crafts Museum. The practice has won over two hundred national and international awards since its inception in 2002, including being a four-time awardee at the World Architecture Festival; the JK Aya Architect of the Year 2020; the Supreme Winner at the 2020 Surface Design Awards, London; the Gold Medal in Conservation by The IIA 2019, and a nomination in the Aga Khan Awards. Ambrish himself has multiple interests. Aside from being an amateur triathlete and meditator, he has a keen interest in promoting inclusivity and consciousness as a ‘way of working’ in organizations. He is a mentor to many creative businesses and believes in embedding self-awareness as a cornerstone of organizational and team development.
