Elisa Silva founded Enlace Arquitectura in Caracas in 2007, and established the non-profit Enlace Foundation in 2017. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. She is Associate Professor at Florida International University in Miami, a lecturer at Harvard GSD, and has taught at Princeton and the Simon Bolivar University in Caracas. She was awarded the Rome Prize in 2005 and is the author of “Pure Space: Expanding the Public Sphere through Public Space Transformation in Latin American’s Spontaneous Settlements”, published in 2020.
