George Clymer

George Clymer, an abolitionist and American politician, was among the six Founding Fathers who signed both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. He advocated for complete independence from Britain and held political office until his death, having attended the Continental Congress. Clymer was a Framer of the Constitution and unsuccessfully tried to regulate the importation of slaves. He was a minor slave owner through his inheritence.
