Philip L. Goodwin (1885-1958) was an American architect known for his significant contributions to modern architecture. He graduated from Yale University and studied architecture at Columbia University, further enhancing his education with studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Goodwin is best known for his collaboration with Edward Durell Stone on the design of the original Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) building in New York City, completed in 1939. This building is celebrated for its innovative design and played a crucial role in establishing the International Style in the United States.
