The museum moved to an award-winning new space, housed underneath Brower Park at St Mark's and Brooklyn Avenues, following the demolition of the Victorian houses that served as its prior home.

In 2005, it was among 406 New York City arts and social service institutions to receive part of a $20 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, which was made possible through a donation by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.In the same year, work began on the $43 million expansion that was to nearly double the size of the museum, and handle more than 400,000 visitors each year. As part of its commitment to environmental integrity and energy efficiency, the institution has taken credit for being the first New York City museum to use geothermal wells for heating and cooling purposes.

MNLA integrated a distinctive, curvilinear building as a bridge between a wooded area and curated campus landscape for this 4.7 acre project. The campus-facing plaza extends the elliptical motif of the building's architecture. The transition from concrete under the building overhang to permeable crushed bluestone in the plaza to plantings that accentuate facade colors creates a destination for students walking between classroom buildings. On the opposing facade, mature trees of the native forest are preserved, augmented by new understory trees to restore lost species diversity. The composition of tamed and wild creates a dynamic and rich addition to five acres of the campus.

 The Rockefeller University, founded in 1901 by John D. Rockefeller, Sr., is a world-renowned biomedical research and  education center on Manhattan's East Side. The new River Campus laboratory building offers new state-of-the-art space  with a 61,000 sf landscaped roof. MNLA's design serves the research scientists and staff of the university, offering   outdoor dining adjacent to a new cafeteria, gathering and break-out spaces around a conference/meeting center and an   amphitheater that becomes a venue for public music performances in summer months.  The president`s pavilion and courtyard are redesigned to accommodate outdoor facilities for a conference center and receptions.

432 Park Avenue is a residential skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan. Standing at 1,396 feet tall, it overlooks Central Park and boasts some of the city's priciest residences. It was once the tallest residential building globally and the third-tallest in the U.S. Now, it ranks sixth-tallest in the U.S. and fifth-tallest in NYC. With 84 stories and a mezzanine, the tower features a distinctive lattice exterior made of white Portland cement. It houses 125 luxury condos and amenities like a private restaurant. Despite its stature, the building has received mixed reviews, particularly for its association with extreme wealth. The project faced delays due to financing and property acquisition issues, with construction beginning in 2012 and sales launching in 2013. Though completed in 2015, the building has faced complaints and lawsuits related to mechanical and structural problems.
