Elevated Prairie

Description

The pattern of a fingerprint is shaped by steel planters seeded with indigenous coastal prairie grasses and wildflowers, set in a labyrinthine path and flanked by rolling, bermed turf grass. The artwork reflects the investigative work performed in the forensics lab. Cedar planks for seating are nestled within the planters and around the center, in which sits a copper disc of shallow, slowly circulating water.
