The Fulton Fish Market was built to serve the country’s largest wholesale seafood market.
Gutted by a fire
Nearly razed by fire in 1995, the Tin Building was rebuilt near its original site as a a 53,000 SF two-story food hall at the base of Pier 17. Set under the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge, the building offers an array of culinary experiences. The Tin Building by Jean-Georges Vongerichten is a market hall with locally sourced food, multiple restaurants, and retail. It is located in lower Manhattan’s historic Seaport.
