Don Peppe’s, located in South Ozone Park, is a classic Italian eatery known for its generous portions and old-school charm. It was once linked to Ciro Perrone, an alleged Genovese family captain. Perrone reportedly assumed leadership of Ianiello’s crew after "Matty the Horse" became acting boss, filling the void left by Vincent "The Chin" Gigante's imprisonment. The restaurant gained a reputation not only for its mob associations but also for its family-style dining and celebrated Italian dishes like linguine in white clam sauce, its baked clams, and “mamma’s marinara sauce." Despite Perrone’s passing in 2011, Don Peppe remains a South Ozone Park institution for traditional Italian fare.
