The design integrates private and shared spaces to support a diverse range of creative practices. The studios include private artist studios, a ceramics lab, a sculpture yard, a digital lab, and various exhibition spaces. The building's design is inspired by the concept of an urban plan, creating a cohesive space that unifies old and new structures. The renovation and expansion project involved purging obsolete structures, creating a new continuous ground plane, expanding the roof, and defining a new perimeter block to engage the city.
