Lenfest Residence Hall at Columbia University

Lenfest Hall, a new 16-story student residence designed for the Columbia Law School, contains studios, one-bedroom rental units and numerous amenities. Gruzen Samton • IBI Group`s design team successfully met two prevailing concerns of the university: providing its law students with attractive, first- class housing at market value and integrating a residential facility with its surrounding neighborhood on Manhattan`s Upper West Side. The firm designed a building that is similar in scale and spirit to adjacent structures, many of which date back to the early 20th century. In addition, Lenfest Hall features amenities such as full-service kitchens and, through the efficient and innovative use of space, multiple recreational and multi- functional common areas.
