Tom Otterness's cartoonish sculptures of miniature rounded creatures do more than delight passerby in the 14th St - 8th Ave subway station--they tell the story of the construction of the subway system and some of the most common legends about the subway. Look for an alligator devouring one figure and another figure in a top-hat directing construction. An MTA Arts for Transit project.
