National Music Centre (NMC) of Canada The NMC, situated in Calgary, Alberta, is a cultural institution dedicated to Canadian music. Designed by Allied Works Architecture, the NMC serves multiple functions, including a museum, performance hall, interactive music education center, recording studio, and broadcast center. The building is organized as a series of nine interlocking towers. The exterior features several curved walls and sculptural openings. The site also includes the refurbished 1905 King Edward Hotel. The NMC was completed in 2016 and is certified LEED Gold.
