Description

A banquet was held the night before Grand Central Terminal opened for 100 people invited by the building's architects Warren and Wetmore. The subterranean space is noted for its white tiled Gustavino Vaults. The vaults have an unusual acoustic property in that they amplify sounds as a 'Whispering Gallery'.
