This colossal suspended sculpture mimics the shape of an undulating sine wave. The wave, painted “Chicago blue” supports colonies of convex mirrors, which reflect and embrace the police station lobby and the viewer. By reflecting the activities of the station, Panopia suggests a link between the police department, its officers and
patrolmen, and the Austin community. Jones and Ginzel remark, “This curious wave evokes the communication so vital for the function of the station. The mirrors are
never visually static; they are aware and completely responsive to the dynamics of the moment—just like good police work.”

Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel talk about 1999's Metronome, at Union Sq. S. Metronome is a series of brick walls in concentric circles that shelter a hole "that emanates a constant halo of steam. At noon and midnight, the hole erupts..." Metronome was commissioned by the Public Art Fund and the Municipal Arts Society.

Andrew Ginzel and Kristin Jones on "Oculus," their Arts for Transit murals in the Church St. subway station, which stretches from the World Trade Center to Park Pl. to Chambers St. Ginzel and Jones created the project by photographing New Yorkers' eyes and translating the images into glass and stone for the subway walls.

 The artists Andrew Ginzel and Kristin Jones talk about their sculpture Mnemonics at Stuyvesant High School. Mnemonics is a series of over 400 hollow glass blocks that echo the architecture of Stuyvesant's new building while engaging the students who pass through the building over the years. The project was sponsored by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art project and the New York City Board of Education.
