Ticker Tape Parade for John Glenn

Description

About a week after John Glenn orbited the Earth the Astronauts flew to New York City for Astronauts Day.  The celebration began with a ticker tape parade followed by a reception at City Hall and a Lunch for 2000 at the Waldorf Astoria.
