Crockett Street is the only City Street that parallels the Rlverwalk. A private limited partnership of the adjacent owners, in partnership with the City, developed Crocket street into a usable River Walk space, by making Crockett Street into, essentially, a bridge. Opening up these properties to the River Walk allowed for the renovation of the historic buildings and constructin of the new Rio Plaza building.
