Built in 1928, designed by George Willis. The Milam building is important in the history of modem American "skyscrapers." It was once the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world, and also was the first high-rise office building in the world to be centrally air-conditioned. It is a Mechanical Engineering National landmark.
