About this Tour Stop...
The Foley Square Rest Stop occupies space in the heart of Manhattan’s Civic Center, home to a series of majestic and imposing government buildings. In addition, Foley Square is the site of the city's African Burial Ground, which dates from the 17th century and is said to have been the resting place for more than 15,000 free and enslaved Africans.
