John Lansing Jr.

A prominent American lawyer, politician, and Founding Father. He served as military secretary to General Philip Schuyler during the American Revolution, and later held various significant positions including Speaker of the New York State Assembly, mayor of Albany, and Chancellor of New York. As a delegate to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, he opposed the U.S. Constitution, believing it infringed on state rights. 

In December 1829, Lansing mysteriously disappeared after leaving his hotel to mail a letter, and his fate remains unknown.
