Benjamin Moore

The Right Reverend Benjamin Moore was the second Episcopal bishop of New York. A former graduate of Columbia University, then known as King's College, he later became the fifth President of the institution. He was also known for administering Holy Communion to Alexander Hamilton on his deathbed in 1804. Moore's son, Clement Clarke Moore, is the writer of the popular Christmas poem, "A Visit From St. Nicholas."
