Carrere & Hastings was one of the premiere Beaux-Arts architectural firms during the early 20th century. Composed of John Merven Carrere and Thomas Hastings, both men were educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and worked under McKim, Meade and White.

Carrere was killed in a car accident in 1911, and the firm closed a few years later when Hastings passed away.
