Throughout his 41 years at Dattner Architects, Bill Stein has steadfastly advocated for socially conscious and sustainable architecture. His record of distinguished public projects and professional leadership exemplifies a commitment to design excellence and responsiveness to communities. Bill is particularly skilled at building consensus among stakeholders to resolve planning, design, budgetary, and regulatory challenges. He is a board member of the Citizens Housing & Planning Council, an advisory board member of the NY Housing Conference, and has been a committee chair for three cycles of NYC building code revisions. He served as President of the Center for Architecture Foundation, Vice President of the AIA New York, and has taught at Pratt Institute. Bill earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from City University of New York and was honored with the CCNY Architecture Alumni Career Achievement Award.
