In 1976, to commemorate the Bicentennial Boston proposed creating a multimedia snapshot of the city. Originally proposed for the Waterfront, this state-of-the-art presentation was installed in a pneumatic tent on the Prudential Center Plaza. The exhibition also contained a series of displays of some of the most innovative inventions that occurred in the City.
