This piece consists of 96 painted aluminum discs connected with stainless steel split rings. The artist worked with neighborhood residents to create a list of words, phrases, and concepts that defined their idea of community, and these formed the basis for the images on each disc. Functionally, the artwork serves as a screen to block the center's air conditioning equipment; symbolically, the piece creates an identity for the building and its users.
