Kala Academy is one of the most significant structures in the city of Panaji. A cultural center that was beautifully designed by the legendary architect Charles Correa is a symbol of modern heritage in Goa. Its human-friendly scale, building proportions, and non-restrictive design approach to accommodate users from different walks of life is truly an architecture for humans.

Factoids

1961- Designed with the vision and drive of the first Chief Minister of independent Goa, Dayanand Bandodkar to preserve and promote the art and cultural traditions of the state of Goa. It was part of the efforts to build a Goan identity post-liberation in 1961 from a Portuguese colony.
