Seoul`s most prestigious business club is designed as a fusion of interlocking and slightly rotated architectural sections, based on Buddhism`s celebration of the five elements of nature – wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The unifying exterior materials are closely spaced horizontal wood beams, with their thin edges facing outward. Windows and entranceways are treated as irregular penetrations, creating fragmented gaps in the exterior walls and offering a great variety of interior light penetrations and unique shadow patterns to animate meeting rooms, a restaurant/bar and executive offices.
