Signs of Life

Artist Jackie Chang juxtaposes text and images on glass and ceramic tile in the Metropolitan Ave/Lorimer St subway station. Pairs of similar-looking words, like "faith"/"fate" and "same"/"sane," are juxtaposed with reeds and other plant imagery, while single words like "man," "self," and "it" hover on the walls of the station, where they are enigma and challenge.
