Incidence

An array of glass planes reflecting and diffracting the surrounding visual phenomena. Incidence responds to the ambient atmospheric conditions. The water compounds the qualities of light and its feedback through the multifaceted installation. The cards frame an alignment with the distant Mt Rainier (Mt Tahoma) and recall the myth of the winter solstice "spirit door between our world and the world of the dead". Incidence, as if a glass kerf, punctuates that skyline of the industrial tide flats where once tables were set with abundance, upon each receding tide.
