The Bell in Hand Tavern is a historic bar in Boston, Massachusetts, established by town crier James "Jimmy" Wilson. Its name refers to the bell Wilson carried while announcing news. The tavern became a popular spot for political figures and locals to discuss news. Originally located near Boston City Hall, it has since moved and now resides on Union Street. Although it claims to be the oldest continuously operating bar in the U.S., it closed during Prohibition.
