This mixed media installation on a glass window that separates the children`s area of the library from a smaller conference room depicts symbols of knowledge and incorporates references to growth and measurement. Next to the window the artists attached a measuring tape where children can measure their height. The title, Fifty-six Inches, refers to the ideal height at which to center a work of art on the wall.
