Located at the site of the former Texas School for the Deaf and the current Austin Animal Center, this artwork pays homage to the curvilinear architecture shared by both the old facility and the new construction. Etched granite disks in the colored concrete paving contain imagery telling the history of the site from its geologic origins to recent times. Surrounded by trees, the work is intended to provide shaded seating and a restful setting for past and future stories to unfold.
