Alice Aycock’s sculpture for the front of the Center of Clayton pulls the viewer towards the site with a work that is dynamic and whimsical. The work is approximately 19’ tall and 20’ square, composed of aluminum, steel and thermoformed plastic. Compositional elements include a spun aluminum cone, a pinwheel suggesting motion and playfulness, and a series of aluminum and fiberglass drapes or skirts that seem to flutter, reflecting the energy from within the building.
