Gruzen Samton • IBI Group designed a 41-story, 269-unit high-end condominium tower on the Hudson River in Jersey City for Fisher Development Associates. With the topmost floors reserved for premium penthouse units, the majority of the 477,000-sf building consists of 35 stories of luxury residential space. These rest on a five-level valet parking garage with lobby, swimming pool, conference rooms, and retail above. Crystal Point is surrounded by water on two sides and offers spectacular views in all directions. Every unit's living room is situated to take advatanage of this spectacular views in all directions: the Manhattan skyline to the east, the Statue of Liberty to the south, the George Washington Bridge to the north, and Jersey City and the sunset to the west. Featuring steel frame and blue-grey glass construction for the residences, the building makes an impressive addition to the Hudson skyline. The exterior of the five-level garage is a metal mesh, permitting natural ventilation and lighting.
