This bronze bust of Dr. David Thomas Iglehart (1835-1903), an early Austin resident, was commissioned by Iglehart's widow shortly after his death. It was donated to the City and mounted on a granite watering trough on Speedway Street, near Ney's studio. In the 1970s the trough and bust were relocated to their current location in downtown Austin. The bust was one of the last commissions Ney completed before her death in 1907. The plaster version is in the Ney Museum collection.
