A series of perforated stainless steel volumes lit from inside and outside guide pedestrians through a vast outdoor room formed by the multi-lane highway deck above. This Northern section of the Charles River basin only became open to the public in 2012. Known as the Lost Half-Mile... passages was impossible through an industrial landscape of rail yards, polluted drainage ditches, and wharf warehouses - the result of commercial activity that began in the early 1830's.
