Schwimmer House

A “horizontal castle”, designed this home of concrete, stone and wood to wrap around the nose of the hill giving it 180-degree views of everything from Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean. Lautner employed a cantilevered design for the home’s long, curved driveway, as well as its swimming pool, which hovers effortlessly above Benedict Canyon.
