General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument is monument topped by an equestrian statue, located in President's Park, Washington, D.C. at the intersection of 15th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and Treasury Place.
It was commissioned in 1896 by the United States Department of War and the Society of the Army of the Tennessee, and cost $90,000. Carl Rohl-Smith submitted plans, but died in 1900, and work was completed by Lauritz Jensen, Stephen Sinding, Sigvald Asbjornsen and Theo Kitson also did work on the figures and medalions.
