Mr. Lipski sent a dozen violins to Minneapolis. With his instruction, the young violinists in the city got together and etched their names into the violins. Lipski then assembled them into a swirling loop, mounted on a thin stainless steel hoop, floating in front of the wall above the fireplace on the Arts and Music floor of the new Cesar Pelli designed Minneapolis Public Library.
