A long-vacant 1960s-era theater was repurposed as a new branch library and the artists were commissioned to create an artwork that would help shrink the high ceiling spaces above the bookshelves. The artists brought air and light into the room with a series of paintings that depicted children watching the sunlit Texas sky punctuated with birds. The bird shapes are echoed in a mobile at the center of the room, which is composed of gently floating, silvery, open books.
